The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is a nationally recognized developer and manager of affordable housing. Founded more than 45 years ago, TCB has developed over 25,000 housing units as well as office and retail properties, and manages over 9,000 units of housing. TCB is active in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and the District of Columbia. Our core work targets urban neighborhood transition opportunities. TCB is also active in redeveloping and repositioning existing assisted and unassisted multifamily properties.
Position Overview
The Mid-Atlantic is TCB’s most nascent geographical focus area, but potentially the most fertile regional for expanding our combination of development capacity, financial strength, management and human development, all guided by our mission. Multi-phase, mixed-income projects are in pre-development in Richmond, Norfolk, and Charlotte with smaller deals underway in Philly, DC and Pittsburgh; the Mid-Atlantic business plan targets a minimum of six new projects per annum.
The Project Manager implements real estate development projects from the initial conception, construction, rent-up and stabilized occupancy or sale, delivering quality projects on schedule and within budget.

The project manager must be a strong team manager and negotiator, and possess excellent written and verbal communication, financial and spreadsheet skills. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience and skills in:
Successful candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout the Region. The position reports to the Mid-Atlantic Development Director.
