Staff Corporate Accountant-A
BOSTON, MA
Reports To: Assistant Corporate Controller
Essential Functions:
Job Purpose:
Prepare accurate and efficient monthly, quarterly and year-end workpapers on both a TCB stand-alone and consolidated basis in support of the department’s financial reporting obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Corporate Cash
- Reconcile Key Accounts on a Daily Basis, email results to CFO
- Reconcile all Corporate Accounts on monthly basis in MRI
- Prepare deposits & bank transfer forms for Corporate
- Oversee Consolidated Assets
- Reconcile TCB accounts on monthly basis, record journal entries as needed
- Reconcile Consolidated accounts on quarterly basis, review monthly for issues
- Review A/R to ensure amounts paid are properly applied
- Coordinate with other accounting departments to make sure our receivables match their payables ("Due to / Due from" Reconciliations)
- Oversee Predevelopment Loan Administration
- Maintain records of authorized draw amounts versus funds drawn
- Approve and code requests for draw
- Review information maintained on TCB computer systems to ensure all information included in financial statements is current and accurate for areas of responsibility
- Ensure copies of executed supporting documents are kept in repository
- Provide backup and support to the Staff Corporate Accountant-B as needed
- Update workpapers monthly to support financial reporting
- Prepare special reports and projects, collect, analyze and summarize information and trends as needed
- Enhance existing processes to identify areas where automation or alternate processes will result in a reduced time frame for completion of tasks
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel
- BS degree in Accounting required
- Experience with MRI Accounting Package a plus
