Senior and Special Needs Housing

The Community Builders, Inc. has completed or preserved 74 elderly and special needs housing developments that meet the unique needs of seniors and persons with disabilities. Innovative building designs and apartment layouts enhance accessibility and visitability, including features such as at-grade front/rear entries, one-story units, and ample room in doorways, halls and bathrooms.

Through the HUD 202 and 811 programs, Community Builders develops these facilities in partnership with local municipalities, housing authorities, and community organizations. Working closely with project sponsors and service providers, Community Builders tailors physical unit types and a supportive service package to meet the needs of residents and the larger community.
