Plantation Apartments is a 50-unit HUD 202/8 property in Stow which was developed by the Stow Elderly Corporation with The Community Builders' assistance and has been managed by TCB since initial occupancy in June 1983. The sponsor is comprised of an active group of local citizens interested in providing affordable housing in a community which otherwise consists of suburban middle-class households. In addition to meeting regularly with the board to report on the financial and operational health of the property, management has worked with a committee of this group which received SHARP funding for 60 units of affordable family housing at the nearby Pilot Grove development, which is also managed by The Community Builders.
