$25M New Market Tax Credit Award

April 24, the U.S. Department of Treasury named The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) as a 2013 recipient of a Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation.

National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) "Affordable 100"

Ranked and recognized as one of the top 100 affordable housing property managers in the nation. Ranked 65 out of 100 affordable housing property managers for 2013.

Affordable Housing Finance Magazine "Top 50"

Ranked and recognized as one of the top 50 affordable housing owners and developers in the nation. Ranked 7 out of 50 affordable housing developers and 31 out of 50 affordable housing owners for 2012.

National Housing & Rehabilitation Association Annual Vision Award

National Housing & Rehabilitation Association instituted its Annual Vision Awards in 2004 to honor affordable housing and community development leaders for their invaluable contributions and years of dedications to providing affordable apartments to American families. Our former president and CEO, Pat Clancy, won the 2012 award.

$29.5m HUD Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant for Cincinnati

awarded a $29.5 million 2012 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Cincinnati’s Avondale neighborhood. The funding will support a sweeping neighborhood transformation plan developed by TCB, in partnership with the City of Cincinnati, Avondale Community Council (ACC), Avondale Comprehensive Development Corporation (ACDC), Cincinnati Public Schools and Urban League of Greater Cincinnati. The partnership received the only 2012 grant awarded to a private or nonprofit sponsor.
