Mecky Adnani

Director of Acquisitions & Preservation

Mecky AdaniMecky Adnani joined The Community Builders, Inc., in 2004 as the director of preservation. She is charged with overseeing TCB’s acquisition/preservation activities across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Since joining TCB, She has originated, structured and/or closed more than 20 acquisition/recapitalization transactions, each unique in its complexity, preserving more than 3,400 multifamily housing units.

Her multidisciplinary financing, management and planning and design expertise, as well as her broad knowledge of federal and state housing regulations, enables her to direct acquisition projects through strategic and programmatic evaluation, valuation and pricing, deal structuring and negotiations. She is an expert in financing, subsidy renewal and capital restructuring strategies that lead to feasible preservation transactions.      

Prior to joining TCB, Mecky was vice president of Recap Advisors, a nationally recognized financial advisory firm, specialized in preservation of affordable housing. She served as a project manager and Planner with the Cambridge Housing Authority, one of the nation’s best-run housing authorities. She was an Associate  at Sasaki Associates Inc., a multidisciplinary planning and design firm, where she managed large-scale master-planning and urban design projects.

Mecky holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Rhode Island, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University.
